The All New Gorgeous Genesis GV60 Design Unveil

The all-new Avatar with all-new design details.

For the South Korean premium brand, the Genesis GV60 is a significant achievement.

It’s not only a global model, but it’s also the first Genesis to be entirely electric.

The GV60, which rides on Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP platform and is powered by a pair of electric motors with a combined output of roughly 218 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive, looks nothing like the rest of the lineup.

Even compared to the GV70 crossover, it has a coupe-like appearance.

Genesis has revealed a few more design features that it believes we should be aware of. The Quad Lamps are first up, a design element we’re already familiar with thanks to their use in the existing portfolio.

The GV60, on the other hand, “reinterprets and amplifies” this style to create a sportier, more dynamic wedge that emphasizes the EV’s athletic aspect.

The body surfacing is “seamless and modest” in the side profile and lacks the characteristic character lines. The wide stance shows that it’s still muscular.

Its performance intentions are hinted at by the low overhangs and rear spoiler. To help support the floating roof style, there’s also a sharp-looking chrome trim that wraps around the windscreen and flows into the rear spoiler.

Moving on to the interior, the Crystal Sphere gear selector, which is actually a safety feature that signals if the vehicle has been turned on or not, is probably the design aspect Genesis is most proud of.

Keep in mind that electric vehicles are substantially quieter than ICE-powered automobiles. Looking at the driving state on the digital panel is sometimes the only way for a driver to know for sure that the EV is running.

This was not good enough for Genesis.

When the vehicle is charging, for example, this art-like sphere does not spin to any driving mode.

With its unique laser engraving and customizable mood lighting, it’s also incredibly attractive to look at.

Although Genesis doesn’t say for sure, it clearly suggests that several GV60 design aspects will be carried over to future EVs on the inside and out.
